WoW: Many love, few hate (+1
)
While the MMORPG has been released for 5 years, it's time to actually look back at the past. Back then, Azeroth was a thriving world with a bunch of players killing monsters or getting objects for NPCs. Many people loved it while few others hated the game for its addiction.
Gameplay - Depending on your Faction and your Race, you start out in a starting area for new player heroes. While the starting is boring, if you get through it, you will be able to explore more areas and if you level more, you learn some badass abilites within your class prespective. But that's where the game gets even more boring. Throughout regions, you will be accepting quest for this random NPC that you meet, trying to actually find where that is or where's the monster to kill. Thank Blizzard for mounts though, you would be doing this until you reach level 60. But once you reach level 60, you would be at the top. No more quest right? Eh... Although, end-game content is very cool, if you got some peeps in your guild that do this constantly. Otherwise, you would be stuck doing PvP.
Graphics - I have to admit, the game is actually pretty. The thing is that many people believe that it's average... why don't you try doing something like this in an MMORPG?
Sound - While everyone has the same voice, except the NPC heroes, it's kinda creepy to talk to a dwarf and then talk to another dwarf with a similar voice. Yeah, Blizzard got lazy on that.
Replay Value - Really? Do I have to mention that this game is the crack of MMOs? While I said everything about quest and how boring it would get, many people would WANT to reach level 60. They don't need, they WANT. Replay value would be off the GameSyn star chart.
Fun Factor - Again, constant quest. Constant Killing. Constant Gathering for NPCs who don't know how to get their own stuff. Good thing is that there's dungeons to keep people from getting a little bored, although you will need 4 other people to join you in the dungeons located in certain areas. Oh boy, bring my mount, it's going to be a long ride.
Overall - It may not seem like it, but the World of Warcraft is pretty much addicting as it was 5 years ago. Due to so many patches, Blizzard attended to make things better for players. The thing is that after all of these patches, comes a brand new expansion....
