F.E.A.R All, destory as one. (+2Small-thumbs-up)

F.E.A.R [First Encounter Assualt Recon] is one of those games that should be played at night, headphones in your head, and fingers at the trigger [or buttons]. Indeed, this game attends to focus on the paranormal activities, but is the game worth buying to scare your pants off or worse?

We F.E.A.R the most out of them...
You play as F.E.A.R team member "Point Man". He is basically the up-front guy and is the one being bothered the most by a girl named Alma by her paranormal ways and visions. "Point Man" is also fast in reflexes, so he's able to slow down time to get him an advantage over the enemies. While trying to track down a physic commander named Paxton Fettel, you encounter her a lot throughout the game. The story is confusing at first, but you once you start getting half-way there, you will start figuring out why she was distrubing you in first place.

Bang... Boo.
The game is indeed scary mixed in with action. At one point, you're fighting enemies called replica soldiers with their advanced squad A.I. About five minutes later, you're experiencing paranormal activies. It's rare to actually see a game blend in with story that actually involves gun fights and horrifying scenes. You will actually freak out a little once you realize there's no enemies around, because that's when "she" usually pops up.

Same enemies? Great.
The repilca soldiers don't change at all. Yes, they work as a squad, but you will be facing the same enemies over and over again. You might meet like a Power-Mech here and there, but there's nothing different. Still, it's fun to see their arms shot off with a shotgun.

The world is your enemy.
The thing is that if you don't your graphic settings on High, you're missing out on a bunch of details. Shadow made by light sources for example are very remarkable. If you want to though, you can actually decrease the settings, but trust me, you're doing this because you're scared of the dark. Alma and Paxton's voice both sound so creepy, and well acted.

Multi... F.E.A.R?
Mutliplayer isn't really different. The only thing that it has besides from others is Slo-Mo Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch and even that can be frustrating at times. On the Xbox 360 and PS3, there's a few courses you can go through to beat at the least amount of time, but seperating these courses from the game isn't really fun much. I mean, is it fun trying to beat a record you may or may not beat?

F.E.A.R is an unique horror game that's different from other games. It actually involves a great stoyline and some good gameplay. Thing is that due to repetitive enemy encounters and not so much orignal mutliplayer, the game doesn't actually deserve to get a perfect star, but it deserves a great one.
